Carl and I went around the trail yesterday. We went as far as the 10 turn
but not into the 5.9 turn.
General observations… There is a little grass showing around most of the
trail, not bad. In the start shoot there are small twigs and in some other
areas.
We picked up a few small trees across the trail and broke off ones that
were sticking out and hanging over.
We filled in some just after the 3.5 turn and just after the 4.5 turn. We
didn’t go into the 5.9 turn and neither did the track rig.
The small bridge before the 7.7 turn had shifted a little. There were some
holes where the wood had moved. We packed snow down in these holes but I
think it needs to be looked at better so it doesn’t catch a foot, its ok
for now. I put some trees on the edge of the bridge like a make shift hand
rail just to guide the dogs.
Just past the 7.7. turn the rig went off the trail a little on the right
side near the little pond. Its not terrible but will need to be worked on
there.
Along the pole line and in that area its very bumpy. In the big trees near
the fence after the 9 turn has very little snow. When you pop out on the
pond area just before the 10 turn there is allot of grass and tussocks
showing as well as snow machine traffic. Its hard to see exactly where the
trail is here.
On the way back home the big dip is really bad. Will need lots of work on
that spot.
We blocked the old incoming trail. There has been lots of traffic on it.
We will be out there again probably on Friday if anyone wants to join us.
