Limited North American start order and times

Start order for the $7,500 Alaska Dog Mushers Association 2010 Limited North American Championships, held at the Jeff Studdert Racegrounds in Fairbanks, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, March 12-14.

The competition starts at the Mushers Hall off Farmers Loop Road at 11:00 a.m. each day.

The following is the entry fee and purse breakdown for 8-dog, 6-dog, 4-dog, and skijoring classes:

LNAC Draw & Membership Meeting

The Limited North American Championships draw and ADMA general membership meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 10th at the Mushers Hall on Farmers Loop Road.  Potluck starts at 6:30 and meeting at 7:00.  We will be voting on race dates and mileages for the 2010/2011 season and voting for board members.

Minimum purses set for championship races.

The following purses are the minimum guaranteed for each race. The fund raising committee is working hard to raise even more prize money.
Annamaet Gold Run – $4,200 sponsored by Annamaet Pet Foods and Goldstream Sports.
North Pole Championships – $5,160 sponsored by North Pole Economic Development Committee, F&E Taxidermy, Santa Claus House, Alcan Builders, Alaska Tent [...]

Downey, Probert shine at the Limited North American

After nearly two decades of competing at the Gene’s Chrysler Limited North American Championships, Pennsylvania’s Rob Downey finally won.

Downey beat out defending eight-dog champ Christian Taveau on Sunday to take the title.
