The race is held at the Jeff Studdert race track at 935 Farmers Loop Road. You’ll see a big sign for Alaska Dog Mushers Association and a log building that is the mushers hall. There will be food available for purchase and plenty of viewing opportunities inside and out.

Both the North Pole Championships and Limited North American Championships start at 11am. You don’t need a reservation to see the race. If you are looking for a place to stay, check out the Hampton Inn and ask for the ADMA musher rate.

I am NOT receiving club emails. They are being forwarded to be by another club member. Please correct this situation ASAP.

I live in Anchorage & will be unable to attend the annual meeting. Please keep skijoring on you race schedule for the 2011 race season. For the 2011 LNAC distances I would like to see the 4-dog Normal: 4.5, 4.5, 5.9 used. Maybe shorter distances will get more people to participate.

Reguarding the upcoming 2010 LNAC skijor class I would like to see the 4-dog Normal: 4.5, 4.5, 5.9 used snow conditions allowing.

Sometimes Google maps gets it wrong. You can see the Elf’s Den from the Richardson Hwy. Coming from Fairbanks, you’ll take the exit after you see it on the left and backtrack on the frontage road to the restaurant.

Most likely the Gold Run will be held at Chena Lakes, depending on availability and trail conditions. The traditional mileage when the Gold Run is held at the track is 5.9 miles for the 4-dog class. There is a 5.1 mile trail at Chena Lakes that will probably be used for the 2-dog skijorers and the 4-dog class. The 6-dog class would go 6.5 miles and the 10-dog class would go 12 miles.

We are not set up for pre-registration at this time. The sign-up and draw for the LNAC will be held on Wed., March 10. Watch the website for more info closer to race date.

Thanks to Jennifer for organizing this. Spirit of the Wind is a great movie to see with a bunch of other mushers. I think a fun time was had by all!
