The traditional mileage when the Gold Run is held at the track is 5.9 miles for the 4-dog class. There is a 5.1 mile trail at Chena Lakes that will probably be used for the 2-dog skijorers and the 4-dog class. The 6-dog class would go 6.5 miles and the 10-dog class would go 12 miles. I think I first saw "Spirit of the Wind" (when it was still titled that) before I ever got into sled dogs, and I loved it so much then that I saw it a couple more times. Never dreamed back then that I'd ever stand on the back of a sled myself. Thank you for the chance to see it again after something like 30 years.
