Start Order for Annamaet Challenge Series race #2, December 19, 2004

Below is the start order for our second race of the season, Annamaet Challenge Series #21, Sunday, December 19, at the Jeff Studdert Race Ground in Fairbanks, Alaska. Skijor and 4-dog racers go out at 1-minute intervals, and the other classes at 2-minute intervals. Start times for each class are listed below, but some classes may start later than scheduled if there are post entries in the previous class.

Sunday's race will be postponed if the temperature at 9 a.m. on Sunday is -25° Fahrenheit or colder. You can get the official temperature by calling (907) 452-3553 after 9 a.m.

The post-entry fee is $5, so race fees on Sunday will be:

All entrants must already have or must purchase a 2004–2005 ADMA membership. The annual membership fee is $25. Annual trail use passes are also available for $50.

Start intervals for Challenge Series

The skijoring and 4-dog class will start at one-minute intervals. All other classes start at two-minute intervals.

Cold weather cutoff

Preliminary races will be postponed if the temperature at the Fairbanks International Airport is -25 F or below, as reported at 9 a.m. by calling the weather number at 452-3553.

Points championship

Competitors in the Annamaet Petfoods Challenge Series will be vying for the 2005 Points Champion awards. Points in each race are awarded as follows: 1st place - 5 points; 2nd place - 4 points; 3rd place - 3 points; 4th place - 2 points; 5th place and all other finishers - 1 point. For each class, the dog driver with the most cumulative points from all the Challenge Series races this season is awarded the Points Champion trophy. Competitors are not required to race in every Challenge Series race to qualify for Points Champion.

AARP division

The AARP-sponsored division for older 4-dog teams is run in conjunction with the 4-dog class. You can designate your 4-dog team as an AARP team at the draw or on the day of the race. For more information on the AARP division and how it works, see the AARP division web page.
