Seventeen skijorers and 37 dogs braved the cold and found well packed trails with fresh snow during the Alaska Skijoring and Pulk Associations Second Annual Lee's Cabin Race in the Bureau of Land Management's White Mountains National Recreation Area. Tom McGrane overcame a 47 second deficit on the 7 mile run into Lee's Cabin to take first place in the three dog class, and George Salmon made up over three minutes to take the win in the two dog class. The one dog class saw husband and wife and mother and daughter Golden Retrievers competing with the husband-daughter team taking the win.
