Welcome to the 16th annual International Sled Dog Symposium hosted by the Alaska Dog Mushers Association (ADMA). Mark your calendar for October 3rd, 4th, and 5th, 2003. The symposium will again be held at Pioneer Park (formerly Alaskaland) in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Dog mushing enthusiasts from Alaska, Canada, the Lower 48 and Europe will enjoy a weekend of informative sessions and hands-on workshops. The symposium has something to offer every kind of musher, from experienced distance or sprint racers to recreational mushers and even non-mushing dog enthusiasts. See our speaker biographies for information on all our presenters. The trade fair features more than 30 vendors offering the latest in mushing equipment, clothing, dog food, supplements, and much more.

The symposium also features our annual fundraising auction. Items available at previous auctions have included a truckload of wood shavings, a load of topsoil, artwork, dinner gift certificates, winter gear and lots of dog mushing equipment. Revenue from the auction helps fund ADMA activities such as the symposium, the Challenge Series races, the Limited and Open North American championships, and maintenance of our world-class, multiuse trail system.
